Jacob “Jake” Lane born in May of 1984

Jake is a lifelong resident of Spotsylvania County and a 2002 graduate of Spotsylvania High School.  Jake’s family has owned and operated Post Oak Farm since the late 1960’s, a small black angus cattle farm located in the Livingston District.

My wife Lyndsay and I have three Children (Marley, Jackson, Cole) with two attending Spotsylvania County public schools. I have spent the last 18 years working for a family-owned business who happens to be one of our nation’s top aggregate producers, with two locations in Spotsylvania. Over the years I have volunteered and worked with multiple supervisors in the Livingston district always wanting to gain the knowledge for one day putting it to a greater use. Barry Jett, who was our supervisor, and a close friend of my father gave me the greatest opportunity after seeing my years of involvement to serve as his planning commissioner.  It would be my humble privilege to serve as your next Supervisor and to honor the legacy Mr. Jett has left during his time on the board. Let’s keep Livingston rural for the next generation to enjoy the open spaces and small-town feel.
